What are the signs of kidney failure?
There are two kinds of kidney failure - Chronic Kidney Failure, and Acute Kidney Failure. The difference between the two is that Chronic kidney failure take some time to progress, thus the signs of this kind of kidney failure can be quite difficult to detect. Acute Kidney failure is much more sudden, with pronounced symptoms.
Some of the symptoms of chronic kidney failure can include, but are not limited to:
- Producing more urine than usual
- Muscle cramps
- Nausea and vomiting
- Extreme tiredness
- Lack of concentration
- Decrease in amount of urine produced
- Headaches
- Swelling around the eyes and ankles
Some of the symptoms of acute kidney failure include:
- Siezures
- Fluid retention around the eyes and ankles
- Loss of urine output
- Headaches
- Lack of concentration
- Extreme tiredness
